[Music] in this video were going to take a look at how we can either disable or uninstall the dual authentication for windows logon while in safe mode and i typically get this question asked when maybe an has gone wrong installing the dual application onto a windows machine or when um for whatever reason they have lost access to the internet but not enabled fail open or offline access to the client so we need a way to be able to get back into the device and one of the ways is either to disable the dual authentication or totally remove it if thats what you want to do so i will include links to the link on the duo knowledge page as to where you can get the commands and i will also include the commands in the video description if you are looking to follow along so essentially we have a machine here windows 10 machine thats currently booted into safe mode and we have the dual authentication proxy also installed so if we just go to add or remove programs we can see that we have the dual

Launch the app then step thru the instructions to get to the screen asking you to set up a new account. Select Scan QR Code then point your mobile camera to the QR code showing on Workday from Step 2. Once the scan is successful, the Authenticator app will start flashing a six digit security code.
Click on your Profile avatar in the top menu, and select Settings. On this page, click Multi-Factor Authentication. Click Remove next to the Okta Verify mobile app.
Manage your Google Account. At the top, tap Security. Under Signing in to Google, tap 2-Step Verification. You might need to sign in. Tap Turn off.
3. Configure 2FA for Workday To enable 2FA for Users of Workday application. Go to Policies App Authentication Policy. Click on Edit against the application you have configured. Enable the Enable 2-Factor Authentication (MFA) option. Click on Save.
To deactivate the MFA device for a user, choose the name of the user whose MFA you want to remove. Choose the Security credentials tab. Under ​Multi-factor authentication (MFA), choose the radio button next to the MFA device, choose Remove, and then choose Remove.
Turn off 2-Step Verification On your Android phone or tablet, open your devices Settings app Google. Manage your Google Account. At the top, tap Security. Under Signing in to Google, tap 2-Step Verification. You might need to sign in. Tap Turn off. Confirm by tapping Turn off.
Login to Workday using your Username and Password. On the next screen, you are presented with a multi-factor security code input. Open your authenticator app, look at the code that is presented in the app and type it into the Workday prompt. The code will be valid for 30 seconds, at which time a new code will be given.
Turn off 2-Step Verification Open your Google Account. In the Security section, select 2-Step Verification. You might need to sign in. Select Turn off. A pop-up window will appear to confirm that you want to turn off 2-Step Verification. Select Turn off.
