Lets say that someone had shared a document with you and you dont need that document anymore, and you wish not to have that document in your account. You can easily remove yourself from that file by following these steps. Go to the shared with me folder or wherever you saved that document in your drive. And right-click that file and go to the share options. And then you will need to click Advanced. Once you click advanced, you will see all of the people that on this document. So basically, I shared this file with another account with myself for the purposes of this example, and all you need to do is click the X on the right side of this area and you have removed yourself from that document.
