To convert one or more footnotes or endnotes: Open your document and select the References tab. In the Footnotes group, click Show Notes. Select the notes you want to convert, and then right-click. Select Convert to Footnote or Convert to Endnote.
To keep footnotes on the same page in Word: Open your Word document. Select your footnote near the page footer. Right-click the footnote and select Paragraph. Select the Line and Page Breaks tab. Click to enable the Keep lines together checkbox.
To convert one or more footnotes or endnotes: Open your document and select the References tab. In the Footnotes group, click Show Notes. Select the notes you want to convert, and then right-click. Select Convert to Footnote or Convert to Endnote.
Hold down the Shift key as you click at the end of the last endnote. All the endnotes in the document should now be selected. Press Ctrl+C to copy the endnotes to the Clipboard. Open a new, blank document and paste (Ctrl+V) the endnotes to the new document.
In your Word document, click on the References tab in the Ribbon. In the Citations Bibliography group, click the arrow next to Style. Click the style that you want to use for the citation and source. Click at the end of the sentence or phrase that you want to cite.
The information required is: author, title, place of publication, publisher and date of publication. NOTE: The information is separated for the most part by periods (rather than by commas, as in the footnotes) and the parentheses enclosing the facts of publication are dropped. EXAMPLE: Eccles, W. J.
Insert footnotes and endnotes Click where you want to reference to the footnote or endnote. On the References tab, select Insert Footnote or Insert Endnote. Enter what you want in the footnote or endnote. Return to your place in the document by double-clicking the number or symbol at the beginning of the note.
