What does it cost? The Quick Title fee is $85.50 for registered owners ($35.50 for a new title plus $50 for the Quick Title). The fee amount varies when transferring ownership. Other fees and taxes due at the time of the transaction may apply.
Who is required to visit a Secretary of State office when transferring a title? Anyone whose name will be listed as an owner on the title must be present. It is advised that the seller also accompany the buyer to transfer the title.
If you need your title sooner, instant, or same day, title service is available at all Secretary of State offices. The vehicle owner must appear in person for instant title service. You cannot appoint an agent to represent you for an instant title transaction.
$15 plate/registration transfer fee. $15 title transfer fee.
(2) The application for a quick title must be signed by the person applying to be the registered owner and be sworn to by that person in the manner described under chapter 5.50 RCW. The department must keep a copy of the application. (b) The most recent certificate of title or other satisfactory evidence of ownership.
