The tag specifies bold text without any extra importance.
Bold is one of the most common weights of a typeface, always with a heavier stroke than the regular/upright version. Bold is commonly used for emphasis.
To bold the text in HTML, you can use either the tag or the (bold) tag. Browsers will bold the text inside both of these tags the same way, but the tag indicates that the text is of particular importance. You can also bold text with the CSS font-weight property set to bold.
Bold is used to highlight the text and capture the readers attention. The bold tag is used for strong emphasis. When you feel like emphasising something, you need to first consider using italics, only use bold text if you are not satisfied by the emphasis the italics did to your text.
Follow these steps: Display the Word Options dialog box. At the left side of the dialog box click Proofing. Click AutoCorrect Options button. Make sure the AutoFormat As You Type tab is displayed. Make sure the *Bold* and Italic with Real Formatting check box is selected.
Type the keyboard shortcut: CTRL+B.
You can also go to Settings Display Brightness Display Zoom, then select Larger Text to see larger controls. Make text heavier: Turn on Bold Text.
