Highlight the text you want to edit, then look to the Character panel or Type toolbar. Find the text format dropdown menu (it usually defaults to Regular) and select it, then choose either Bold or Italic to change the highlighted text.
One way to make text thicker is by using the Stroke layer effect. To do this, simply select the layer that contains your text and then go to Layer Layer Style Stroke. From here, you can adjust the stroke width and color to your liking.
To create bold text in Photoshop, select your text layer in the Layers Panel, then access the Character Panel by going to Window Character. Now click the Faux Bold icon to bold the text, even if there isnt a bold font style available in your selected font.
To make text bold in Photoshop, simply select the text by clicking and dragging across the text to highlight it. The next step is to click on the A icon or Character settings option in the right menu bar, then select Faux bold. Do the same for other words in your text that you want to appear bold.
Double tap the text you want to format. Tap Format, then choose a formatting option like bolding, italics, or changing the font color.
Choose the words you wish to make bold and then highlight them with your cursor. The font style dropdown menu is available in the Type toolbar or the Character panel. The default on the dropdown should say Regular, and once clicked it should give you options for different styles. Choose the Bold style in the dropdown.
Once youre happy with your text, decide which word or phrase you want to be in italics. Then use your cursor to click and drag over those words to highlight them. Now go to the Upper Settings Bar or the Character panel and click the dropdown menu that says Regular. From the dropdown options, choose Italic.
Select the text that you want to make bold, and do one of the following: Move your pointer to the Mini toolbar above your selection and click Bold. . Click Bold. in the Font group on the Home tab. Type the keyboard shortcut: CTRL+B.
Make text bold Move your pointer to the Mini toolbar above your selection and click Bold. . Click Bold. in the Font group on the Home tab. Type the keyboard shortcut: CTRL+B.
When you feel like emphasizing something, you need to first consider using the italics, only use bold text if you are not satisfied by the emphasis the italics did to your text. Some people, I call them over-emphasizers, have the habit of adding bold or italic tags to an entire paragraph or using bold-italics together.
