Hi, my name is Dave Andrews, and today Im going to show you how to make fonts bold. Lets open up Microsoft Word, by clicking on our start button. Lets go to all programs. Find Microsoft Office, and lets just open up Word. Im going to type a little bit of text here, that I want to make bold. Lets highlight the text and to make that bold which means it will stand out more than other text around it, just click on the B. As you can see its gotten a little bit thicker, and if I uncheck my B and type a little more text beneath it, you can see that this text that I have made bold stands out a little more than whats below it. A quick way to do this is to highlight some text, if you want to do this on your keyboard, hold down your control key and press the B. As you can see, some more is now bold. My name is Dave Andrews and Ive just showed you how to make text bold.

Bold the lead-in text for each point of your bulleted list, making them skimmable. Incorporate links and other clickable elements. These make up nearly half of all eye stops in a press release. They get attention and help casual readers digest your news.
Best fonts for reading Arial. Tahoma. Helvetica. Calibri. Verdana. Lucida Sans (PC) or Lucida Grande (Mac) Georgia. Legible apostrophes and quotation marks. Another thing to check for is how defined the apostrophe and quote mark characters are.
You should double-space your text and use a 12 point font, such as Times New Roman or Arial. Leave plenty of white space in your press release -- use at least one to two inch margins around your page.
There are two basic styles of fonts used for music textpage numbers, headers, front matter, technical indications, etc.: serif (i.e., Times New Roman, Plantin, Times, Garamond, Goudy, or Caslon, etc.) or sans serif (i.e., Helvetica, Futura, Optima, Gill Sans, etc.). Serif fonts are generally more common.
Bold typefaces can go by many names: demi bold (sometimes just demi), bold, extra bold, and black and ultra. As the names imply, their stroke weights are incremental degrees heavier than the basic roman or medium weight of a typeface.
It is important to use bold text sparingly and only where it is necessary to emphasize important information. Avoid using bold text for entire paragraphs or blocks of text, as this can make it difficult for readers to distinguish important information from regular text.
