Highlight the text you want to edit, then look to the Character panel or Type toolbar. Find the text format dropdown menu (it usually defaults to Regular) and select it, then choose either Bold or Italic to change the highlighted text.
If only certain words or characters need to be affected, use the Type Tool to highlight the text. Open the Properties Panel . Youll see controls for Weight , Width and Slant . Weight lets you adjust the boldness of the text.
Highlight the text, select More in the character palette menu, then select Faux Bold or Faux Italic. Uncheck Faux Bold and Faux Italic when youre done and avoid further altering the text.
When you feel like emphasizing something, you need to first consider using the italics, only use bold text if you are not satisfied by the emphasis the italics did to your text. Some people, I call them over-emphasizers, have the habit of adding bold or italic tags to an entire paragraph or using bold-italics together.
Type the keyboard shortcut: CTRL+B.
To make text bold in Photoshop, simply select the text by clicking and dragging across the text to highlight it. The next step is to click on the A icon or Character settings option in the right menu bar, then select Faux bold. Do the same for other words in your text that you want to appear bold.
Short guide: Open the Settings app and tap Accessibility. Tap Display Text Size. Tap the toggle switch for Bold Text to turn it on.
The faux bold option is listed at the bottom of the character panel. With the text tool active, double-click on the text layer thumbnail, then hit CTRL+T, this will pop up the character panel, the faux bold is the first button on the row of icons at the bottom of the panel.
Highlight the text you want to edit, then look to the Character panel or Type toolbar. Find the text format dropdown menu (it usually defaults to Regular) and select it, then choose either Bold or Italic to change the highlighted text.
Choose the words you wish to make bold and then highlight them with your cursor. The font style dropdown menu is available in the Type toolbar or the Character panel. The default on the dropdown should say Regular, and once clicked it should give you options for different styles. Choose the Bold style in the dropdown.
