hey everyone in this tutorial we are going to cover borders in google sheets so first lets select a range so im going to go from a1 to lets say c6 so i did that by clicking and holding shift down to c6 now our border areas are in this section here in the sub menu this visual menu and you can see as you hover over it you can see the borders appear so click on that and then you are met with a range of types of borders that you can have or where in your range you want your border i should say so for example if you want all borders to be covered you can click on this like so or if you want them to be taken away we can clear all borders if you want just the outside of that range to be selected you can click on out of border if you just want vertical lines to be selected you can click vertical lines now you probably notice here that i clicked out of border first and then vertical lines that means the outer border has already stayed the same so if you just wanted vertical lines only you w

Select the text you want to format. Click the Bold, Italic, or Underline buttons on the Home tab. To bold, press Ctrl + B.
The CTRL+B key is used to apply or remove bold. It will bold or un-bold the cell when one or more cell is selected. This shortcut works for the new text you type after using it, or you can highlight existing text and then bold it via the shortcut.
In the Find what section, go to the Format drop-down and select Choose Format From Cell. Select any cell which has the text in bold font format.
Heres how: Select the row (or line) you want to bold by clicking on the row number to the left of the spreadsheet cells. The entire row will highlight to show it is selected. Click on the black B in the toolbar above the cells. All the values in the selected row will be formatted bold.
Type the keyboard shortcut: CTRL+B.
If you want to bold some uncontinuous specific characters in a text string, you can try to apply Superscript/Subscript function of Kutools for Excel. button to view other characters, and go on bolding the characters.
You can also press Ctrl+B on your keyboard to make selected text bold, Ctrl+I to apply italics, and Ctrl+U to apply an underline.
Open up a new Google Sheets document, and select the cell you wish to format. Click within the cell, and highlight the section of text you want to edit. You can now apply formatting to just this section of text, altering the font, font size, making it Bold, Italic or adding any other formatting.
On the Home tab, in the Font group, click the Format Cells dialog box launcher. Keyboard shortcut You can also press CTRL+SHIFT+F. In the Format Cells dialog box, on the Fill tab, under Background Color, click the background color that you want to use.
