Certain personal details are unnecessary to put on your resume and could even send the wrong message....Don't include: Your marital status. Sexual orientation. Religious or political affiliations. Social security number. Anything else that a prospective employer can't ask about.
Bolding of select words and phrases helps with scanning, but you don't want to go overboard. So choose what to bold wisely, depending on the message you want to send. If your job titles effectively illustrate your path to management-level roles, bolding those might make the most sense.
Keep Everything the Same Size Font Aside from your name, which should be a little bigger, the font size throughout your resume should be the same size to ensure readability. Rather than using font size for emphasis throughout your resume, use bolding, italics, and all-caps—sparingly, of course.
Windows keyboard shortcuts Copy: Ctrl + C. Cut: Ctrl + X. Paste: Ctrl + V. Maximize Window: F11 or Windows logo key + Up arrow. Open Task View: Windows logo key + Tab. Display and hide the desktop: Windows logo key + D. Switch between open apps: Alt + Tab. Open the Quick Link menu: Windows logo key + X.

Include long, generic objective statements. ... Submit references on the same page as your resume. ... Don't go over two pages.
To bold the text in HTML, use either the strong tag or the b (bold) tag. Browsers will bold the text inside both of these tags the same, but the strong tag indicates that the text is of particular importance or urgency. You can also bold text with the CSS font-weight property set to “bold.”
The tag specifies bold text without any extra importance.
If you want your resume to show you have what it takes to justify an interview, you need to show off your skills - both soft and technical. The skills on your resume can differentiate you from the competition so you can land the position you want.
Here's how to AutoFormat your document: Load the document you want to format. Choose AutoFormat from the Format menu. Word displays the AutoFormat dialog box. (See Figure 1.) Use the radio buttons to indicate if you want AutoFormat to work without stopping for your input, or not. Click on OK.
