At any time after service and filing of the statement required under Section 29-5-90 the owner or any other person having an interest in or lien upon the property involved may secure the discharge of such property from such lien by filing in the office of clerk of court or register of deeds where such lien is filed his
Every mechanics lien in California must contain the owners name, a general description of the property and location, the name of the hiring party, a description of the work performed and the amount of money owed.
A South Carolina mechanics lien is only valid for six (6) months. Unless it is extended, you will need to enforce your lien claim within this deadline. If you get paid, its a good idea to file a lien release form to discharge your lien claim.
A proper Notice and Certification of Mechanics lien must include a statement and account of the amount due and a description of the covered property that satisfies S.C. Code Ann. 29-5-90. Unlike North Carolina liens, South Carolina liens do not relate back to the date of first furnishing of labor or materials.
If a lien is filed against your property (in the form of a lien statement), it must be filed with the county recorder and a copy delivered to you, the property owner, either personally or by certified mail, within 120 days after the last material or labor is furnished for the job.

Once filed, a Pennsylvania mechanics lien will be valid for a period of two years, unless the property owner provides an extension in writing.

This form advises the party that a lien will be filed if payment is not received within 10 days.
