this is probably the most ripe issue for litigation later when you have any type of a situation where theres an employee thats an inventor and maybe they were maybe they were not on the job while they were inventing that is a huge Point who owns this invention uh word to the wise of any inventors out there that are currently employees and your invention is even tangentially related to your product you want to make sure youre going to make all efforts possible to be clear dont hide the ball dont try to be sneaky and you know on the side and file it without getting with your employer you want to have them sign off in other words you know waive any rights to ownership in writing before you invest some of your own dollars in proceeding with a patent yeah and I would I would just say like if youre an inventor please dont use your business laptop from your employer to do your your pet your uh your work right at home you know or on your lunch break it doesnt work well for you so um ye
