final draft gives you the possibility to show additional information in the header or the footer of a page among others mores and continued there are different opinions about whether you should use this function or not what it can do is it gives you the possibility to see that dialog elements or scenes are interrupted by a page break so the preceding page at the bottom will say more to show you that there is more to come on the next page and the following page will say continued at the top to tell you that the scene already started on the page before if you want to use this go to document mores and continued you can also choose whether you want to use so-called character continued but be aware that they work a little differently from page continued character continued show up if a character speaks two times in a row without a dialogue from another character in between i personally would advise against it because final draft cannot know if a character really speaks continually or is in

If you need to change any of the attributes of any of the elements that comprise a script, go to Format > Elements (Mac) or Format > Element Settings (Windows). Here you will find controls and settings for each element (Scene Heading, Character Name, Dialogue, etc.).
To open a FADEIN file, double-click the file or select File → Open, navigate to your file, and click Open. To export a FADEIN file to a different file format, select File → Export, choose your desired file format, name the file, choose the save location, and click Save.
A scene heading always consists of at least two elements: 1) an interior or exterior indicator, and 2) a location or setting. Unless the scene is part of a continuous sequence, the heading also includes a time of day. A scene in a screenplay differs from a scene in a cutting room.
Do that by going to Document > Change Document Font. You can also use Format > Element Styles > Modify Element Style > Normal Text and change the font.
FADE IN is the first text on the first line of your script (the beginning). FADE OUT — or FADE TO BLACK — is for the end of the script. Writing THE END in place of either of those will work as well. DISSOLVE TO is the proper transition to use within the script, if needed.
Go to Format > Element Styles > Modify Element Style, select Scene Heading, then Font and make sure the Bold checkbox is checked. If you want to make this is preset for future documents, you can create a new, blank document, make Scene Heading elements bold, and save it as a new template.
A scene heading consists of three parts: camera position (EXTERIOR or INTERIOR), the location, and the time (DAY, NIGHT, LATER, CONTINUOUS, SAME). Be consistent in your location names. For example, once you call this JIM'S HOUSE, then refer to it in scene headings as JIM'S HOUSE thereafter.
Fade In is a strong alternative to Final Draft that costs less than half as much. It is more than adequate as professional screenwriting software, despite lacking a few of Final Draft's features.
Go to Format > Element Styles > Modify Element Style, select Scene Heading, then Font and make sure the Bold checkbox is checked. If you want to make this is preset for future documents, you can create a new, blank document, make Scene Heading elements bold, and save it as a new template.
Do not bold or underscore scene headings. Francis Ford Coppola underscores his scene headings, but he's Francis Ford Coppola. Such idiosyncrasies should be avoided in a speculative script.
