Bold text is a typographic term that refers to a style of text that is thicker and darker than regular text. It is often used to emphasize or highlight specific words, phrases, or headings in a document.
It does not make it easier to read, and in the mind of many active readers may actually detract from being able to parse the post. You should be using bold sparingly, only to emphasize one main point. Other than that, reserve bold for things like headings or description titles.
Causes: An SHX font is selected. SHX fonts are shape files and cannot have bold or italic applied to them. A TTF font is selected, but the equivalent bold and italic forms of the font are not installed in the operating system.
Bold text. Bold text, sometimes referred to as emphasized text, should only be used to convey information labels and should always be paired with a colon (:). Bold may also be used to label a topic within a table or chart without a colon as long as no other non-bold words follow the words which are in bold.
Using all caps or bold letters in an email can make your message look aggressive, rude, or unprofessional. This can damage your reputation and relationships with your colleagues, clients, or managers.
Avoid making your text bold, italicized, or underlined unless 100% necessary. It can appear rude or pushy. Instead, use words to emphasize your point.
Bold is used to highlight the text and capture the readers attention. The bold tag is used for strong emphasis. When you feel like emphasising something, you need to first consider using italics, only use bold text if you are not satisfied by the emphasis the italics did to your text.
