hello and welcome to this excel tips video I am so mad Mansell and in this video Im going to show you how to quickly find and select cells with bold font formatting in it so in this case I have this data set and I have these three cells where bold font formatting has been applied now in this data set I can manually select these but in case you have a huge data set then doing this manually is not an option so let me show you a very quick way of doing this I would first select this data set I would hold the ctrl key and then press the F key so this would open the Find and Replace dialog box and in this case I do want to find a specific text I want to find a specific format so I would click on the options button here and instantly it is going to show me all these options now here I can select a cell from which I want to find the formatting so I can select and I can specify find all the cells that have the formatting similar to the cell a3 so I would come here click on this drop down ico

Bold typefaces are used to emphasize text. It helps your chosen keywords and phrases stand out from the surrounding text.
Bold text. Bold text, sometimes referred to as emphasized text, should only be used to convey information labels and should always be paired with a colon (:). Bold may also be used to label a topic within a table or chart without a colon as long as no other non-bold words follow the words which are in bold.
There are four tags you can use for bold and italic: and for bold. and for italic.

Bold a typeface that makes a character thicker than the regular one. Boldfacing is often used for emphasis, headings, subheads, highlight keywords, etc.
Bold is used to highlight the text and capture the readers attention. The bold tag is used for strong emphasis.
Theyre intended for emphasis and if everything (i.e.: a whole paragraph) is all caps/bold/italic, nothing is emphasized. Italicization is used for gentle emphasis, bold is used for heavier emphasis. All caps are another alternative means of emphasis. None of these should be used on more than a few words together.
Press Ctrl+B. Word indicates that you want to find bold text. Click the Find In option and choose Main Document. Word selects all the bold words and phrases in the document.
3. Dont abuse the bold, italics and underline styling. While these features can be used to emphasize a point, too much of a good thing goes bad quickly. An email full of bold, italicized and underlined text could come across as aggressive, or even rude.
