hello and welcome to this excel tips video I am so mad Mansell and in this video Im going to show you how to quickly find and select cells with bold font formatting in it so in this case I have this data set and I have these three cells where bold font formatting has been applied now in this data set I can manually select these but in case you have a huge data set then doing this manually is not an option so let me show you a very quick way of doing this I would first select this data set I would hold the ctrl key and then press the F key so this would open the Find and Replace dialog box and in this case I do want to find a specific text I want to find a specific format so I would click on the options button here and instantly it is going to show me all these options now here I can select a cell from which I want to find the formatting so I can select and I can specify find all the cells that have the formatting similar to the cell a3 so I would come here click on this drop down ico

Press Ctrl+B. Word indicates that you want to find bold text. Click the Find In option and choose Main Document. Word selects all the bold words and phrases in the document.
To make text bold, select and highlight the text first. Then hold down Ctrl (the control key) on the keyboard and press B on the keyboard. To make text italic, select and highlight the text first. Then hold down Ctrl (the control key) on the keyboard and then press the I on the keyboard.

Bold is used to highlight the text and capture the readers attention. The bold tag is used for strong emphasis. When you feel like emphasizing something, you need to first consider using the italics, only use bold text if you are not satisfied by the emphasis the italics did to your text.
Apply Bold, Italic, or an Underline Select the text you want to format. Click the Bold, Italic, or Underline buttons on the Home tab. To bold, press Ctrl + B. To italicize, press Ctrl + I.
Bold typefaces are used to emphasize text. It helps your chosen keywords and phrases stand out from the surrounding text.
3. Dont abuse the bold, italics and underline styling. While these features can be used to emphasize a point, too much of a good thing goes bad quickly. An email full of bold, italicized and underlined text could come across as aggressive, or even rude.

Select Highlight Cell Rules and then choose Contains Text. A dialog box will appear. In the Format only cells that contain section, select the type of text you want to format from the first drop-down menu and then enter the text in the second box.
