hello and welcome to this excel tips video I am so mad Mansell and in this video Im going to show you how to quickly find and select cells with bold font formatting in it so in this case I have this data set and I have these three cells where bold font formatting has been applied now in this data set I can manually select these but in case you have a huge data set then doing this manually is not an option so let me show you a very quick way of doing this I would first select this data set I would hold the ctrl key and then press the F key so this would open the Find and Replace dialog box and in this case I do want to find a specific text I want to find a specific format so I would click on the options button here and instantly it is going to show me all these options now here I can select a cell from which I want to find the formatting so I can select and I can specify find all the cells that have the formatting similar to the cell a3 so I would come here click on this drop down ico

This format works for all email programs, but it doesnt support bold or italic text, colored fonts, or other text formatting. The plain text format also doesnt support showing pictures inside the message, although you can include pictures as attachments.

Theyre intended for emphasis and if everything (i.e.: a whole paragraph) is all caps/bold/italic, nothing is emphasized. Italicization is used for gentle emphasis, bold is used for heavier emphasis. All caps are another alternative means of emphasis. None of these should be used on more than a few words together.
Just because youre creating a plain-text email doesnt mean you cant use any text formatting. Use bold or italics if you want to highlight text or parts of the copy. Just remember to use it sparingly or youll lose the effect.
The tag specifies bold text without any extra importance.
One common way is to press Ctrl+B when you want to turn on the bold character attribute, type your word (or words), and then press Ctrl+B to turn it off. Word provides another quick way to make text boldusing asterisks.
For totally plain-text you can use ALL CAPS (providing you do so sparingly), or you can enclose in underscores (often used, as in SOs markdown, instead of italics) or you can *delimit* with asterisks (as a stand in for bold). Save this answer.
