In this tutorial, Michele explains how to remove unwanted bold formatting from headings in a Table of Contents (TOC) in a document. If some numbered headings appear bold despite the TOC style settings, you can fix this by selecting the bold heading and including the paragraph mark. Ensure the show/hide function is active to see the paragraph mark. Highlight the heading and use Ctrl + Spacebar and Ctrl + Q to clear the formatting. After updating the TOC, the bold should be removed. However, reopening the document may cause the bold to reappear due to the original heading style settings, such as using all caps without bold formatting.
