so if youve been following along with me for the past few months then you probably know that i quit my job as a full-time software engineer in february in order to go out on my own making my own products and consulting and generally just trying to be a self-employed person and so i wanted to give a bit of an update about how things are going and specifically tell the story of how i got my first freelance consulting work as a software engineer theres not necessarily anything too mind-blowing here but i think anecdotally this could be helpful and im hopeful that the story of how this happened for me could be helpful if youre considering doing something similar so lets go ahead and get into it so i made a video about how to get freelance work before id even done it but i outlined a few strategies in that video which ill link up here and the first one i talked about was inbound so basically this is a strategy that kind of just allows stuff to come to you usually in the form of recru
