hello iamp;#39;m jenny mann at physical electronics and today iamp;#39;m going to be describing uh some work that weamp;#39;ve done of xps depth profiling of metal halide perovskites so metal halo perovskites have the crystal structure that iamp;#39;ve shown to the right abx3 where a is usually methylamonium formidinium or cesium and b is a metal usually tin or lead and x is a halide usually bromine or iodine so metal halide perovskites have many possible uses such as light emitting diodes lasers transistors but theyamp;#39;re perhaps most well known in solar cells so looking at the nrel uh research best research cell efficiencies chart we see perovskites uh right here and they are relatively new uh this chart starts at 1976 compared to some other solar cells but in the last about 15 years uh they have seen increases from about four percent to 25 efficiency and there are some even newer solar cells shown that iamp;#39;ve circled here which are a silicon solar cell with a perovski
