so now were ready to apply materials to our shapes we actually just created the last shapes that we need to make for the project now that all the shapes are completed were going to look at the material application now when youre working on your own you can actually go to the materials stage and apply material whenever you want to for the fundamental training we try not to jump around quite so much so we decided we would do it all at one time but just just so you know when youre working on your own you can jump ahead to materials and apply materials as you go if thats your preference so materials are in stage 11. so were going to go to the top of our panel menu left click weve worked through all these stages in the design phase now were going to go down to the materials phase and click on materials stage 11. youll notice that we go directly into the 3d environment we dont do anything in 2d everything is done in 3d all were doing here is selecting shapes or categories of shape
