To bold the text in HTML, you can use either the tag or the (bold) tag. Browsers will bold the text inside both of these tags the same way, but the tag indicates that the text is of particular importance.
To make text bold in CSS, you use the font-weight property. This property allows you to control the thickness of the characters in your text. Setting it to a value like bold makes the text appear thicker and more emphasized.
To bold text for decoration, use the CSS font-weight property. Say you want to bold a word in a paragraph you can wrap the word in tags and use a CSS class selector to apply the font-weight property to the specific span element only.
So you would need to write an opening tag ( ) before the text you want in bold and a closing tag () after the text. Notice that in your example you are using which is neither a valid opening or closing tag but which may be interpreted as an opening tag in certain browsers.
