all right this question is from jayati do you know about rental property verbal agreements i have a tenant that has lived in a property for years but without a lease uh so they do have a lease its just a verbal lease so um and it would be contingent on whatever term uh that was verbalized and if it was not verbalized so if you didnt say hey uh you can move in here for a year and you owe me this amount of rent um that becomes the lease and the term becomes one year now uh and if they basically said hey you can move in for a month uh and just pay month to month uh then the term becomes one month so that means if you wanted to give them notice you would have to base it off of that one month um now say someone moves in and you just say hey the rents a thousand dollars a month uh then they just move in nobody ever discussed a term uh then that gets a little bit more involved but it would basically actually i dont really have a great answer for this uh and i should uh because its not it
