Just the word, not the quotation marks, unless the source is consistent in always putting the quotation marks in bold. I would not put the English punctuation that precedes the closing quotation mark in bold.
Quotation marks around single words can occasionally be used for emphasis, but only when quoting a word or term someone else used. Usually, this implies that the author doesnt agree with the use of the term. He said he was working; it looked to me like he was procrastinating. You call this filthy room clean?!
Bold text. Bold text, sometimes referred to as emphasized text, should only be used to convey information labels and should always be paired with a colon (:). Bold may also be used to label a topic within a table or chart without a colon as long as no other non-bold words follow the words which are in bold.
Direct quotations involve incorporating another persons exact words into your own writing. Quotation marks always come in pairs. Do not open a quotation and fail to close it at the end of the quoted material. Capitalize the first letter of a direct quote when the quoted material is a complete sentence.
Write a personal quote focused on their needs Clearly tell them how much you want to charge and its perfectly ok to answer back at an hourly rate or a flat fee. If youre going to send a flat fee for the project then I would suggest writing out in detail what you will provide.
Here are things to consider including in the quotation: An overall price to complete the entire job. A breakdown of prices, particularly if there are milestones. A schedule of work. A payment schedule for your freelance invoices. Any other payment terms such as recurring payments, retainer agreements or late fees.
Quotes is a negotiation tool that mirrors how negotiations work in a real-world setting where a freelancer sends a proposal and the client reviews it for approval before even a project commences.
Dont overdo it, as it can distract the reader and make content less readable. And dont make punctuation bold, unless the whole sentence is.
