Im Drew Stevenson and this is a video for my professional responsibility class about ABA model rule 1.2 this is part two in the first video about this which I hope you watched first I went through the provisions of rule 1.2 the text of the rule sections a through D in this video Im going to be talking to my students about the abas comments and the first set of um uh comments that clarify and embellish the rule remember that for purposes of the mpre and my exam you should treat the comments as basically part of the rule so anywhere that the comment gives an example or sort of clarifies or fills in some gaps of the rule functionally for testing purposes its part of the rule so having said that lets look at my slides and continue with our discussion and remember that rule 1.2 is about the allocation of authority between the client and the lawyer and thats a fancy way of saying who decides one what and also the scope of representation what did you actually agree to do for this client
