Hoo-boy. Okay, so Of Mice and Men is a book about horrible, horrible, depressing stuff You might be wondering if Iamp;#39;m gonna be drawing the frames for this, and I can say with certainty that I will not for several reasons. First this is way faster, and I donamp;#39;t want to keep this story in my head for any longer than necessary. Second, I get way more emotionally invested in stuff that I have to draw as anyone who saw my Odyssey video might have realized. Man, I looked sketchy back then, and thirdly because there is a perfectly fine movie version of this particular book that does a better Job of capturing the bleak desolate worldview that Steinbeck loved so dearly, than I ever could. So, the main characters are these dudes George and Lennie. George is a small smart man. While Lennie is a large stupid man. See they got a yin-yang thing going, symbolism? George is a small, quick-witted man; his intelligence contrasts with Lennies throughout the book; as does his size. George often has to think quickly in order to cover up for Lennies mistakes.
George is described as small and quick. This is in contrast to Lennie who is big and slow. George is clever but quick to anger. Lennie is not clever and is slow to lose his temper.
The character of George is directly characterized as small and quick, having small, strong hands, slender arms, a thick, and bony nose. Lennie is described in the first chapter as a huge man that walked heavily, dragging his feet a little, the where a bear drags his paws. The initial direct characterization
dark, small, quick, ambitious, intelligent, thin, commanding, (maybe sometimes resentful). George could be compared to a raccoon. What things does Lennie say and do that make him seem like a child?
George Milton is portrayed as a sharp, quick-tempered man in Of Mice and Men, but evolves into a selfless, caring one. George and Lennies relationship, described like a master and his dog, is what drives most of the action.
What reason does Crooks first give for Lennie not being welcome in his room? Crooks says at first that Lennie is not welcome in his room because Crooks is not welcome in the bunkhouse. Crooks is black and he is not allowed in the white bunkhouse with the men.
