hey guys and welcome back to another merchant 4 tutorial in todays video well be showing you how to use event dispatchers and what they are so if you havent heard about event dispatchers they are a very useful thing to know about in unreal and to really utilize so essentially you can cause a load of events to fire off at once when an event dispatcher is called so it just allows you to make things a lot more efficient and it also allows you to essentially cast to a level blueprint so you can call an event so for example the character could call a function thats inside the level blueprint or the character could call a function that is inside five different blueprints and theyd all fire up at once at the same time without having to constantly check if a boolean is true for example every frame so just again makes it a lot more efficient so let me hit play and give you an example so in this example that ive got set up here the player is going to press 1 which will fire off something
