ZIP Extractor - Google Workspace Marketplace. ZIP Extractor is a free app for creating and opening ZIP files on your computer and Google Drive. Files in the RAR, 7z, and TAR format are also supported, including password-protected files.
At the top right of the Google Drive window, select the icon with three vertical dots. (Note that this icon will only appear after you have selected one or more items.) Select Download from the menu. Google Drive will compress (or zip) all the files you selected and start the download process.
Google Drive also allows you to upload files that you cannot edit such as videos and music. Zip folders fall under the second category of files files that you cannot edit. You can upload a zip folder to Google Drive using two methods: Drag and Drop.
Firstly we locate the file or folder that you want to zip. Press right-click the file or folder, select Send to, and then select Compressed (zipped) folder. A new zipped folder with the same name is created in the same location.
