Western blots can be a major pain but a major help is a ponzo stain it helps you see if youamp;#39;ve got consistent transfer of protein to your membrane so the possible stain is a quick and reversible stain that you can use to kind of look at the how the transfer went from proteins out of your gel like out of your SDS paints gel and onto your membrane that you can now blot with anti like probe with antibodies and this is the basis of the western plot is you take this protein separate them by size transfer them to that membrane and now look to see if what a certain protein is present now during that transfer step things may or may not go ing to plan but you canamp;#39;t see anything because well the proteins are invisible it can be helped if you use a um if you use a pre-stained ladder then this will get transferred over to your membrane and that gives you a visual cue that well at least the ladder got transferred and if the ladder got transferred then my sample probably did too but
