hey there welcome to tucupi in this video Iamp;#39;m gonna explain about different formats of images before I jump into the topic I request you to subscribe to my channel and click the bell icon so that you wonamp;#39;t miss any of our future updates first one we have is jpg or jpg joint photographic experts group this term may sound alien to you you just donamp;#39;t need to remember this term jpg is a 24-bit image format which is a lossy image compression thus leading to smaller image file sizes because JPEG is a saucy image compression every time you walk on any jpg image and save it you will lose the quality and size of the image itself so obviously for a period of time that image becomes useless so when you are working with JPEGs I strongly recommend you to save original copy in some other location JPEG supports millions of colors so it is ideal for general uses and pics that have different colors number 2 PNG portable network graphics it is also a 24-bit image format b

Open a raw image, TIFF or JPEG in Loupe view. Select Photo Enhance in the menu bar (or, Control-click on a Mac/right-click in Windows on the image and click on Enhance. Select Super Resolution from the Enhance box.
TIFF files are very high qualitymuch higher quality than most JPEGsbut the trade-off is that theyre big. You do, however, have some options for making them smaller by using compression. When it comes to TIFF, two main compression options are availabletheyre known as LZW or ZIP.
The detailed image quality stored within a TIFF means theyre ideal for scanned images and high-resolution documents. You might find them a useful choice for storing high-resolution images of your artwork or personal documents.
For the best print quality in Photoshop, we recommend using the following TIFF options: set the compression to LZW or ZIP to reduce file size without losing quality, choose the correct color profile (e.g., docHub RGB ), and ensure the resolution is set to 300 DPI, which is ideal for print output.
Tiff files are designed for high-quality publications, and therefore normally are saved at higher resolutions, usually 150-300 ppi. Jpg files are designed for the internet, and therefore saved at lower resolutions, usually 72 ppi.
Which file is best for photography JPEG or TIFF? A TIFF will enable you to store richer, more detailed images. Its good practice to save your original (or source) photos as TIFF files. JPEGs, meanwhile, might be a better choice for exporting your finished edits because theyre easier to share and print.
Both LZW and ZIP will give good results. Use either with confidence. But for 16-bit TIFF files, its clear: use ZIP.
Four types of baseline TIFF images are available: bilevel (black and white), gray scale, palette (i.e., indexed), and RGB (i.e., true color). RGB images may store up to 16.7 million colors. Palette and gray-scale images are limited to 256 colors or shades. A common extension of TIFF also allows for CMYK images.
