How to create a duotone effect in docHub Photoshop Prep your image. Larson started by adding a Gradient Map Adjustment Layer (different from a regular Gradient). Add a splash of color. Click on different Presets in the Properties panel to see how each one affects your image. Choose your shade. Enhance the spectrum.
It is usually greyed out in colour images. This is because the duotone mode can only be applied to grayscale or black and white images. So in order to apply the suitable colour mode, first convert your image to grayscale. Now if you go back to the Mode menu, the Duotone option is enabled.
Select the text layer and navigate to Layer Smart Objects Convert to Smart Object. Make sure the layer is still selected. Then navigate to Edit Transform Warp. Once the grid appears over the text, you can click and drag to manipulate it.
32-Bit Depth 32 bit supports millions of color. Color depth is directly proportional to the size of the graphic file. The size of a 32 bit color depth file is greater than a 16 bit color depth file. Therefore, a 32 bit color file takes a longer time to display in comparison to a 16 bit color depth graphic file.
This feature is only available for images in an RGB color space. If the Black and White adjustments option is greyed, out its likely because your image isnt in an RGB color space.
Once your image mode is in an 8 bit grayscale, you can use the default duotone option in Photoshop. Select the layer, and then go to Image Mode Duotone.
Adjusting image color and tone with adjustment layers In the Adjustments panel, click the tool icon for the adjustment you want to make: For tonality and color, click Levels or Curves. For adjusting color, click Color Balance or Hue/Saturation. For converting a color image to black and white, click Black White.
