A Comma-separated values (CSV) file is a text file that stores tabular data. It stores the data in plain text and is human-readable. To convert CSV content into usable datapills, parse it with Workatos built-in CSV parser or use a connector-specific CSV parser.
When you save a workbook as a .csv file, the default list separator (delimiter) is a comma.
The CSV file format allows you to pick any character as separator. Regardless, stick with the actual comma character ( , ) for separator, as most applications will be compatible with it out of the box.
if the Decimal Separator is a period (.) then the CSV separator will be a comma. if the Decimal Separator is a comma (,) then the CSV separator will be a semicolon.
Heres how: Open the PDF in docHub Pro (requires a subscription or trial). Go to File Save As Spreadsheet Microsoft Excel Workbook or CSV. Follow the prompts to adjust settings and save the converted file.
Open your . CSV file with a text editor and check the bottom of the window for the encoding. If the encoding is not set as UTF-8, find the encoding controls in the text editor. Set the encoding to UTF-8.
Commas and tabs are common field delimiters but are likely to occur when storing text strings. Your options are to either change your field delimiter or have MariaDB enclose the data. We recommend you use the pipe character, |, as your field delimiter.
The format of the CSV file has to be UTF-8 encoding to make sure all special characters are imported correctly.
