hello my name is Josiah Ray Iamp;#39;m going to talk to you briefly about what Microsoft XPS dock writer is uh Microsoft XPS is a PDF file format essentially itamp;#39;s sort of their answer to docHub PDF and you get to it the same way that you would get to printing the PDF from inside of word so here I am inside word and I have this sample text that Iamp;#39;ve created and weamp;#39;re going to up to the office button and click print print and itamp;#39;s got ad dope PDF which is typically defaulted from me because I donamp;#39;t have a printer installed but we can also come down to this Microsoft XPS document writer so weamp;#39;re going to click on that and say okay and itamp;#39;s going to ask us where we would like to save this so Iamp;#39;m going to save it into my documents and weamp;#39;ll just go test and click save so now Iamp;#39;m going to open up my documents and thereamp;#39;s my document my XPS file Iamp;#39;m going to double click on it and it opens

The XPS (XML Paper Specification) format, developed by Microsoft, serves as a fixed-page document format, a spool file format, and a page description language (PDL) for printers.
While PDF and XPS files are both print and share-ready document formats, there are some notable differences between the two. You can view PDF files on most devices and open them with several different programmes, while youll need an XPS Viewer or compatible browser to open an XPS file.
On Windows 10 11, you can Microsofts XPS Viewer to open XPS files on your PC. You can also upload your XPS file to Google Drive and then download it as a PDF to make it easier to read and share. Alternatively, try an online XPS-to-PDF file converter to convert the XPS file to a more popular file type.
XPS stand for? XPS stands for XML Paper Specification. Thats because it contains page layout information written in the XML page description language. Essentially, this type of language describes the structure and content of a document, including its layout and appearance, making it suited for printing for example.
Microsoft XPS Document Writer comes pre-installed on Windows 10 and Windows 11, just press Ctrl + P to print/save an XPS file.
Another option is to open the XPS in Google Drive and then save it as a PDF. Upload the XPS file to your Google Drive by clicking New File Upload and selecting the XPS file. Click Print. Select Save as PDF. Select the desired location for your new PDF.
An XPS file is a ZIP archive using the Open Packaging Conventions, containing the files which make up the document. These include an XML markup file for each page, text, embedded fonts, raster images, 2D vector graphics, as well as the digital rights management information.
