i wanted to show you how to read a logarithmic axis so weamp;#39;re pretty familiar with just regular standard linear scale um but this is different so iamp;#39;m going to show you how it works so sometimes uh the lab menu will tell you this is a logarithmic scale and so if we look at weamp;#39;re going to not worry about the y-axis here but weamp;#39;re going to look at just the x-axis and so weamp;#39;re used to every large tick mark so youamp;#39;ll see these large tick marks on my scale here these would typically be worth like 1 2 3 right or 10 20 30. but youamp;#39;ll see right way here this looks weird itamp;#39;s 1 10 100 and thatamp;#39;s because itamp;#39;s logarithmic so it goes up by a power of 10 and even over here it starts at 0.1 right so iamp;#39;m not going to worry about that too much but i want to talk about what happens here so when you are looking at a data point um letamp;#39;s say this location a versus this location b it doesnamp;#39;t really matter
