hey guys this is anthony morganty i am mr photographer.com one thing thatamp;#39;s getting talked about and pushed on us a lot is the ability for a phone to shoot raw files in this video i want to talk about that a little bit iamp;#39;m going to talk about some of the limitations of those raw files raw files from cell phones and some of the things that are pretty cool about those files as well now i went out this morning i used my iphone 12 pro max i took some images with it uh this is one apple calls their raw apple pro raw itamp;#39;s just apple hyping raw file itamp;#39;s the same thing nothing special now one thing we should talk about right away about these raw files is with most phones nowadays theyamp;#39;re somewhere in maybe the 6 megapixel to i want to say maybe 14 megapixel 12 megapixel thatamp;#39;s like the the the highest resolution available right now if you bought a camera within the last few years itamp;#39;s probably well over 20 megapixel megapixels now 12 meg

For iPhone 11 and earlier, you have to use a third-party camera app to take classic RAW photos. Apple ProRAW is not available for these iPhone models. If you have an iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 non-pro model you can take only classic RAW photos using a third-party camera app.
Its really easy to enable ProRAW on an iPhone 12 Pro or 12 Pro Max. Youll navigate to Settings Camera Formats and under Photo Capture enable Apple ProRAW. From then on, youll see RAW in the right corner which you can enable or disable with a tap.
