Dont end headings with periods. For more information, see Headings.
Dont use end punctuation in headlines, headings, subheadings, UI titles, UI text, or simple lists (three or fewer words per item). End all sentences with a period, even if theyre only two words. Put one space, not two, after a period.
The title of a complete work is usually centred near the top of the first page; if possible, it should be printed either in large letters or in boldface, or even in both. It should not be italicized or placed in quotation marks, and it should not have a full stop at the end.
A period is a small dot-shaped punctuation mark that is used at the end of any sentence that is intended to make a statement. As with other punctuation marks that end sentences, the period should be placed directly behind the last letter of the last word of the sentence.
It comes down to context, but a simple rule is that if it reads like a sentence, give it a period. Top-level page titles, headlines, and labels generally should not have periods.
It is also common to omit periods from chapter titles and other headings or subheadings. Periods are not required in ordered or unordered lists, but if a list item contains a period, then the sibling list items should also maintain a period at the end of each list item for consistency.
Period after a single word Sometimes a single word can form the sentence. In this case you place a fullstop after the word as you would in any other sentence. This is often the case when the subject is understood as in a greeting or a command.
It should make a powerful enough statement that the reader is intrigued. They should be excited or something that really grabs attention. The subhead draws the reader in further, giving them something to think about. They should want to read more.
