0:04 2:00 In final draft. Hi everyone this is bayla from the writers territory. And in this video im goingMoreIn final draft. Hi everyone this is bayla from the writers territory. And in this video im going to show you how you can very quickly and easily add scene numbers to your scenes in your final draft
0:47 7:34 Page. Now that the script is in revision mode any additional typing will be displayed as revised.MorePage. Now that the script is in revision mode any additional typing will be displayed as revised. Text and the revision set header will appear to indicate that this page has been revised.
I want to number other elements, such as shots, characters, or Go to Production Scene Numbers; Check Number/Renumber; Select the element you want to number (Shot, in this example); Click OK.
Final Draft opens up a simple dialog, that has three tabs: Header, Footer, and Options. Just select the tab where you want to place your page numbers and place the cursor on the left side, in the middle, or on the right side in the text field below, depending on where you want your page numbers to appear.
To number a new scene in a script in which scenes are already numbered Choose Production Scene Numbers; Check Add Numbers; Be sure that Keep existing numbers is checked. If it is not checked, all currently-numbered scenes will be renumbered; Click OK.
Click on page. This will set the page tab on the footer toolbar/ruler. The page number is now set at the bottom of the page. Next, click on options.
A scene numbering like s01e2 -3:4 should be read as season 1 : episode 2 : scene 3 : part 4. If you add an episode number to the scene number, it can look like this: s01e2 -203:4 where the 2 in 203 is the second episode. As the entire scene number rarely is presented in one go, it will not look too unwieldy!
This is a production feature that locks the text on a particular page so that any revisions or deletions of text dont affect the numbering of any other page. For example, in a locked script you can add text to Page 3 that runs past the length of the page.
