So if youamp;#39;ve been trying to buy things from online, you already know that one of the questions that come up when you are filling the shipping or delivery form is the postal code or the zip code. And through a very short tutorial today, Iamp;#39;m going to teach you how you can find the actual zip code for your area so that when the goods get to Ghana, they can call you or they can find out the exact post office that is nearest to you so that it can be delivered to you. So, without much ado, letamp;#39;s get into the tutorial. You can just go to the GanaPostGPS address and if youamp;#39;re using one of these modern machines, you might have to enable location access. So, right here, I am going to enable location access. And then, once you go back, the page is going to load the GhanaPostGPS Address Map. Now, if you have d

Your ZIP+4 is a basic five-digit code with four digits added as an extra identifier. It helps to identify a geographic segment within the five-digit delivery area, such as a city block, a group of apartments, an individual high-volume receiver of mail, or a post office box.
The first digit designates a broad area, which ranges from zero for the Northeast to nine for the far West. The two following digits are the code of a central post office facility in that region. The last two digits designate small post offices or postal zones.
ZIP Codes are numbered with the first digit representing a certain group of U.S. states, the second and third digits together representing a region in that group (or perhaps a large city) and the fourth and fifth digits representing a group of delivery addresses within that region.
The correct format for a numeric ZIP+4 code is five digits, a hyphen, and four digits. The first five digits represent the 5-digit ZIP Code; the sixth and seventh digits (the first two after the hyphen) identify an area known as a sector; the eighth and ninth digits identify a smaller area known as a segment.
The ZIP Code area is not designed as an actual polygon but instead is a collection of routes (transportation network), and they change often. Commercial companies have created ZIP Code boundary maps by interpolating the distances between instances of ZIP Codes on the ground (probably Post Office locations).
ZIP codes are assigned based on a variety of factors, including population density, mail volume, and other geographic considerations. Overtime, the boundaries of ZIP codes may shift or demographics and mail patterns change, and some ZIP codes may need to be updated or changed to cover new towns and cities.
The five digits actually have specific functions: the first number in the code represents a general geographic area of the nation, 0 in the East, moving to 9 in the West. The next two numbers represent regional areas, and the final two identify specific Post Offices.
