To view raw XML source, try to select View Page Source or View Source from the browser menu. Note: In Safari 5 (and earlier), only the element text will be displayed. To view the raw XML, you must right click the page and select View Source.
The Short Answer You can uncomment a line in a configuration file by removing the # at the start of the line. Or, to comment out a line, add a # character to the start of the line. (Note that some languages have different comment formats, so this may not be true if youre working with a source code file.)
In an xml file, if you have text that contains two dashes, and then type ctrl-/ or ctrl-shift-/ to comment it, the comment contains the double dash which is then highlighted in red (Bad character).
XML comments may contain information, links, and data-related terms. Comments in XML start with , and a text note should be added between these characters. Comment lines may appear anywhere in the XML code.
Explanation: In an XML document, the comments are written within .
Commenting out an entire XML block using CTRL+ / comments each line separately instead of creating a block comment. Select the entire block of xml and hit CTRL+/ to comment the entire block.
Automatically insert an XML comment Take one of the following actions: If the automatic comment insertion shortcut is enabled, type /// in C#, or in Visual Basic. From the Edit menu, choose IntelliSense Insert Comment. From the right-click or context menu, choose Snippet Insert Comment.
The syntax for adding XML comments in your code is triple slashes /// followed by one of the supported XML tags. Theres IntelliSense support for writing documentation comments that also provides a template comment on entering the third slash in the triple slash.
