Try to remove the strikethrough effect by selecting the cells with strikethrough and then press Ctrl + 5 to remove it. You could also check if theres conditional formatting applied to those cells.
Method 2: Keyboard Shortcut The quickest solution to cross out text is to use the Excel strikethrough shortcut. Select the cell or text. Press Ctrl + 5 (Command + Shift + X on Mac).
To replace specific characters, select them and then type the new characters. To turn on Overtype mode so that existing characters are replaced by new characters while you type, press INSERT. Note: Overtype mode can be turned on or off only when you are in Edit mode.
How to remove strikethrough in Excel. To remove the strikethrough feature in Excel, press Ctrl + 5 on the cell currently with the strikethrough feature. This applies to both Mac and Windows. Alternatively, you can remove the strikethrough by going to the format cells dialogue box and unticking the strikethrough effect.
Heres how: Click Open in Excel. Select the cells containing the data you want to format. Click the Format Cells box launcher. Tip: You can also press Ctrl+5. In the Format Cells box, under Effects, click Strikethrough. Save the workbook and reopen it in Excel for the web to see the changes.
Hover over Text and then click on Strikethrough. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Alt + Shift + 5 (Cmd + Shift + X on Mac). To remove strikethrough, simply select the cell or text again and repeat the same process: Format Text Strikethrough, or use the keyboard shortcut.
Re: Excel Cross Cursor This cursor appears when youre in the middle of selecting cells or ranges. Heres how you can get rid of it: Click Away: Simply click anywhere outside of the range youre selecting. This action should cancel the selection process and make the crosshair cursor disappear.
