How to split tables in Word Select the cell in your table that you want to separate. Navigate to the Table Tools tab in the top banner. Click the Layout option. Choose Split Table. Repeat the steps above to continue separating your table into more parts.
Click your cursor in the table so that the table move handle appears outside the upper left corner, click the table move handle and press the Backspace key. If youre using Word and the table move handle doesnt appear, the document might not be in Print Layout view.
To split a table in half in Google Docs, right-click on the row where you want to split the table, then choose Split table from the context menu. This will divide the table into two separate tables at that row.
