Select a brush to blur. Go to Filter Blur Tool and choose a brush to drag over the image you want to soften. You can change the brush characteristics and save a preset for quick access to the brushes you use most. You can also use this technique in Lightroom.
JPEGs use a lossy compression process meaning some data from the image is permanently deleted when its made smaller. This could compromise the quality of your file in the long term because each time you edit and save it, you lose more data.
Select the Blur tool in Photoshop, choose a brush tip and strength and drag it over the spots you want to blur. You can do the same in Lightroom. Show movement with motion blur. Add movement to a static object or person in a photo by applying a directional Path Blur filter in Photoshop.
Compressing jpgs removes some of the information from them, so they can use fewer bytes. There is no way to remove the information thats been removed. Resizing the image is irrelevant.
Photos that have undergone lossy compression, such as JPEG, cannot be recovered. Photos that have undergone lossless compression, such as PNG, can simply be opened and reexported with a program like Photoshop.
JPEG compression reduces file size by changing the color values and blocking together groups of pixels with a more uniform color, so that it doesnt have to store as many different ones. While this does decrease the file size, it also alters the true image by changing the colors.
How to reduce JPEG file size on Windows Open the JPEG file with a double click or Right-click file Open With Photos. Click the three dots in the top right corner and select Resize. Choose the recommended settings or Define custome dimentions to resize the JPEG file manually.
Open your image in the editor, then tap or click on it to open the image editing menu. Select the Adjustments option and then use the Sharpen sliding scale to add clarity to your image.
