How to insert shape into Google Sheets Start by selecting the Insert option. Next, choose the Drawing option from the dropdown. Click on the available icon to proceed. Select the Rectangle option as your desired shape. Then, click to place the element in your sheet.
Add shapes Click Insert. Click Drawing. Click New. Click on the Shapes icon, which is to the immediate left of the Text box button. The Shape option is an icon that looks like circle half-covering a square. Click on Shapes in the dropdown that appears. When you are done, click Save and close.
