Inmate information in Oklahoma is available in electronic and paper formats. The electronic format accessible online is free to requesters. The department of corrections provides access to its free online database. Most counties in the state of Oklahoma also maintain an online Inmate search that is free to use.
Requesters can look-up inmate information by: Checking the online database provided by the agency. Sending a mail to the agency. Calling the agency. Visiting the prison or jail facility in person.
The best way to locate information on a federal prisoner for free is to go to the Bureau of Federal Prisons. Then, go to the inmate locator tab. You can search by inmate number or name. A list of results will appear with the inmates names, ID number, age, sex, race, and release date, or prison location.
If you need an incarcerated persons conviction information, you may contact the court or jurisdiction. If you are unable to locate an Incarcerated Person, please contact the CDCR Identification Unit at (916) 445-6713.
For Oklahoma County Jail, this would be through the Oklahoma County Sheriffs Office website. Here, users can find a dedicated section for inmate search.
The process can be done online via the County Clerks Records Portal. In addition, you can use their online Jail Tracker to search for current detainees. This tool allows you to review jail rosters, look up offenders criminal charges, find out their bond, and view their public mugshots.
