In decimal addition, when we get 7 + 3 = 10 , we write 0 and take 1 as a carryover. Similarly, in binary addition, when you get 1 + 1 = 2 , which is 10 in the decimal system, we write 0 and take a carry of 1.
The MSB (Most docHub Bit) of both operands are respectively 0 and 1. The carry in (coming from the sum of all the previous bits) is 1, and the carry out is thus equal to: 0 (MSB first operand) + 1 (MSB second operand) + 1 (carry in) = 1, as you correctly pointed out.
The carry out is the (1 or 0) value that moves to the next column. The carry in is the (1 or 0) you add into the next column. 111
To change binary code into text, which is what humans can read, you have two ways. First, convert the binary numbers into decimal or hexadecimal. Then, you find what letters or symbols they stand for using a chart called ASCII. Or you can simply use an online tool that does all the work for you.

The binary addition rules are as follows. 0 + 0 = 0. 0 + 1 = 1. 1 + 0 = 1. 1 + 1 =10 ( carry 1 to the next docHub bit) 1 + 1 + 1 = 11( carry 1 to the next docHub bit)
Carry is the same in all calculation, when adding two numbers, the result may be larger than the possible number or digit and then a 1 is carried to the next number or digit. e.g. if you add 5 and 6 the result is 11, which is 1 and carry 1 once to the right.
