An undisclosed recipient is a recipient of an email whose identity is known only to themselves and the sender of an email. Normally these undisclosed recipients will all be entered into the BCC field which keeps all recipients from knowing who any of the other recipients are.
How use Bcc to hide recipients in Gmail Step 1: Click Compose to create a new email. Log into your Gmail account. Step 2: Type Undisclosed recipients in the To field. In the new message, go to the To field. Step 3: Go to the Bcc field. Go to the Bcc field. Step 4: Enter Bcc recipients. Step 5: Write your email message.
In an open message, add your e-mail address in the To box. In the Bcc box, add the distribution list. Type your message and click Send.
The term Undisclosed Recipients is just a synonym for Bcc (Blind carbon copy) the address field you might see when composing an email. When you see an email in your inbox that was addressed to Undisclosed Recipients, that simply means the person sending the email neglected to put anything into the To: box.
Go to the Exchange Admin Center, then to mailboxes. Select the mailbox you want to restrict, the in the Mailbox tab of the mailbox, click on Manage message delivery restriction. (The help text for this option says: Select this option to reject all email messages sent by anyone outside your organization.)
If a BCC recipient hits reply all, the original sender will receive the reply and other normal recipients will get a CC.
An undisclosed recipient is a recipient whose email address is only visible to the sender. Nobody else in the email list be it your primary recipient, CCd recipients, or fellow BCCd recipients will be able to read an undisclosed recipients details.
Bcc, or blind carbon copy functions the same as Cc, with one difference: Bcc-ed addresses are hidden from all recipients. Both features are available in Gmail and Outlook.
