Use your Android settings to block numbers. Simply go your settings, then call, and then call rejection. From here, you can enter a number of contact who you wish to block. You can also go to your Phone app, tap More, hit Call history, and then tap a call from the number youd like to block.
If the phone is programmed with *82+number for your friends text messaging will fail. Your first text message will allow you to erase *82, once a response is received the Fascinate reverts to the *82 programmed number. For subsequent messaging you can not erase the *82.
Once your carrier sets you up with a private number, you can still use *82 if you run into call rejection. This step temporarily unblocks your number on a per-call basis. While youre on the phone, call your internet provider, too. Ive got 7 steps to help you save on your monthly internet bill.
Apps like TrueCaller, TrapCall, or Hiya can help identify the caller behind private numbers. These apps have databases of phone numbers and can often unmask the identity of private callers in real time.
Block your number by default on iOS and Android Your number will appear private for every call you make. Note: Verizon Wireless does not allow this feature, but Ill show you what you can do about that in the next step. You can also use *82 to unblock your number in case your call gets rejected temporarily.
To deactivate Caller ID Blocking for a specific number: Enter *82.
You have the option to block Caller ID either temporarily or permanently. To block your number from being displayed temporarily for a specific call: Enter *67.
if you want to temporarily unblock your number after changing these settings, dial *82 before the number you want to call. This overrides your settings and shows your caller ID again. As an example, if you wanted to block your phone number when calling 555-555-5555, youd need to *67 or #31# dial *67-555-555-5555.
