Word allows you fine-tune the line and paragraph spacing in your documents. In this example, Iamp;#39;d like to start by changing the line spacing, which is the space between each line of text. Start by selecting some text, and then in the Paragraph group, click the Line and Paragraph Spacing command. By default, the line spacing is 1.08, so if you change it to 1.0, the lines will be a little closer together, and if you choose 2.0 theyamp;#39;ll be double-spaced. But if you want to have more precise control, click Line Spacing Options. There are two things that you can change: the line-spacing mode and the amount. When the mode is set to Multiple, you can type in the number of lines of spacing you want. The default is 1.08, so we might change it to something like 1.25 to spread the lines out a little bit. Click and drag your cursor through the text that you want to modify, which highlights it. Highlighting the text means that any formatting or editing tools you use are going to affect that section alone. While highlighted, click the Font color button, then the Strikethrough button. This text is now redlined.

Go to the Home tab and in the font section, click on the small arrow in the bottom right-hand corner. 4. Check the Strikethrough box. Click on OK.
Click anywhere in the paragraph you want to change. Go to Layout, and under Spacing, click the up or down arrows to adjust the distance before or after the paragraph. You can also type a number directly.
Highlight the text you want to edit. Press Ctrl+D on Windows or Command+D on Mac. Click the Strikethrough option under Effects in the middle of the window. Press OK.

You can also use a keyboard shortcut to strike your text. To do this, highlight the text you want to cross out and simultaneously press Alt+Shift+5 on your keyboard. To undo a strikethrough, hit the same combination of keys again or undo the action.
Once the button is available, just click it to shrink the text. Click Edit Document Edit in Word for the web if you havent done so already. Press Ctrl+A to select all the text in your document. Click Home Shrink Font one or more times. Click View Reading View to see if you shrank the text enough.
First-line indent by default Put the cursor anywhere in the paragraph. On the Home tab, right-click the Normal style, and choose Modify. Select Format, and then choose Paragraph. On the Indents and Spacing tab, under Indentation, select First line. Select OK. Select OK again.
