Why do GIFs not work on websites? There are several reasons why GIFs may not work on websites. One reason could be that the GIF file is too large, which can cause slow loading times and errors. Another reason could be that the browser you are using does not support the GIF format.
To embed a GIF, simply use the embedded link provided from the GIF provider (such as giphy or gfycat) and paste it directly in the HTML section of your email where its appropriate.
Here are some suggestions: Optimize the GIF file. While GIF compressors may not be able to reduce the file size of your GIF enough, there are other ways to optimize the file. Use lazy loading. Minimize HTTP requests. Use a faster hosting provider.
Click Embed located on the right hand side of the GIF. From there, you be presented with two embed options via the GIPHY Embed Player: Select the Responsive Off switch for the iFrame embed version. Select the Responsive On switch for the HTML5 embed version.
The Good and the Bad of Using GIFs GIFs are bad for SEO if you oversaturate your page with too many of them. They will simply slow down your sites loading time, and Google takes this into account when ranking pages. Another issue that could arise is accessibility.
How do I cut out part of a GIF? To cut out part of a GIF, you need a GIF editor with a trimming or cutting tool. Using a GIF cutter, find sections you want to cut out of your GIF, split them, then delete the unwanted parts of the GIF.
You can only post GIFs in comments on your own posts or on friends posts. You cant post GIFs in comments of posts from pages that youve liked. Select the Comment option beneath a post and look for the GIF icon that appears on the right side of the comment field.
Replace your-gif-url. gif with the URL of your gif file. The background-position property centers the gif on the webpage, and the background-size property scales the gif to cover the entire webpage. Note that using a gif background can affect webpage loading times and may not be supported by all devices.
