Withdrawal (W) The symbol W indicates that the student was permitted to drop the course after the 20th day of instruction with the approval of the instructor and appropriate campus officials. It carries no connotation of quality of student performance and is not used in the calculation of GPA.
Traditionally, the grades are A+, A, A, B+, B, B, C+, C, C, D+, D, D and F, with A+ being the highest and F being lowest. In some cases, grades can also be numerical. Numeric-to-letter-grade conversions generally vary from system to system and between disciplines and status.
In college, the grading system is typically divided into five letter grades, A, B, C, D, and F. Each letter grade corresponds with a grade point average (GPA) and a numerical range.
A CR on your transcript typically stands for Credit or Credit Earned. It indicates that youve successfully completed the course and earned credit for it, but the course is not factored into your GPA calculation.
